Now, how could the Jews have ';rejected'; Jesus because of the Talmud when the Talmud wasn't written until at least 200 years after he died! The Jews had already decided that he wasn't their Messiah by that time.
No, because the prophecies Jesus failed were the Messianic prophecies found in the Tanakh.
None of them are found in the Talmud. In fact, the Babylonian Talmud was written down long AFTER Jesus of Nazareth's life -- so if these ';false prophecies'; really were in the Talmud, they wouldn't have existed at the time of Jesus to cause confusion.
