Jehovah's Witnesses.. How many false prophecies or false teachings would you allow me?

If I came up to you and presented myself as a great Bible teacher or Bible interpreter, how many mistakes would I have to make before you would say; ';There's no way I can accept you as a Bible teacher!!';Jehovah's Witnesses.. How many false prophecies or false teachings would you allow me?
• 1899 ';...the ‘battle of the great day of God Almighty' (Revelation 16:14), which will end in A.D. 1914 with the complete overthrow of earth's present rulership, is already commenced.'; (The Time Is at Hand, page 101 - 1908 edition).

• 1918 ';Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection.'; (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, page 89.)

• 1922 ';The date 1925 is even more distinctly indicated by the Scriptures than 1914.'; (The Watchtower 9/1/22, page 262.)

• 1923 ';Our thought is, that 1925 is definitely settled by the Scriptures. As to Noah, the Christian now has much more upon which to base his faith than Noah had upon which to base his faith in a coming deluge.'; (The Watchtower, PAGE 106 4/1/23.)

• 1931 ';There was a measure of disappointment on the part of Jehovah's faithful ones on earth concerning the years 1917, 1918, and 1925, which disappointment lasted for a time...and they also learned to quit fixing dates.'; (Vindication, page 338.)

• 1941 ';Receiving the gift, the marching children clasped it to them, not a toy or plaything for idle pleasure, but the Lord's provided instrument for most effective work in the remaining months before Armageddon.'; (The Watchtower, 9/15/41, page 288.)

• 1968 ';True, there have been those in times past who predicted an ‘end to the world', even announcing a specific date. Yet nothing happened. The ‘end' did not come. They were guilty of false prophesying. Why? What was missing?...Missing from such people were God's truths and evidence that he was using and guiding them.'; (Awake, 10/8/68.)

';Only this organization functions for Jehovah's purpose and to his praise. To it alone God's Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book.'; (The Watchtower; July 1, 1973, pp. 402.)Jehovah's Witnesses.. How many false prophecies or false teachings would you allow me?
duh....im hardheaded like most JW's. please tell me more propheces so i can follow them blindly and hope God still luvs me. where are my crutches?
According to scripture the gift of teaching and the gift of prophecy are different. The differences are very important.

If your gifting is teaching, you will be good at relaying the knowledge you have gained through study, experience and various other means.

If I claim to be a prophet, I speak God's words directly. According to scripture, prophets are not allowed one mistake. They must be dead on in their prophecies or they are false prophets.

Teachers are still accountable for the accuracy of what they say but they are not spoken to directly by God and told to relay a message verbatim.

So to sum up, if you say you are a teacher, you will not have perfect knowledge. None do. If you are a prophet, you have been spoken to by God himself and commanded to proclaim exactly that message. One mistake and you are out as a prophet.
Well, see there, you got you're back-patters to join in with you. Now you should feel totally justified.

Now, go do something useful. volunteer, work in a soup kitchen, play with the kids, help your mother....or won't your master let you do anything else?
Jehovah's Witnesses would not accept the supposed prophesying of any individual, whether it seemed ';true'; or ';false';.

The bible plainly teaches that individual gift of prophesying would end with the completion of the bible.

...(1 Corinthians 13:8-10) Whether there are gifts of prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is [miraculous] knowledge, it will be done away with. For we have partial knowledge and we prophesy partially; but when that which is complete arrives, that which is partial will be done away with.

Hey, they only predicted the end of the world a few dozen times in the last hundred years. Which is about how old there faith is.
I asked the question once, ';if your doctor made as many mistakes as your religion, would you change doctors?';
