Is it true that Jehovah's Witnesses reduce Rutherford's false teachings, prophecies as expressed opinions?

After 1925 president Rutherford stopped teaching that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were going to be resurrected in 1925. Instead of referring to his previous teaching as “false,” he said it had only been “an expressed opinion.” This substitution technique allows them to openly discuss their failed prophecies like Millions Now Living Will Never Die, even showing large billboards advertising it since it was only “an expressed opinion.” But when other religions teach things that the Society says are not true, they use a different set of expressions… “falsehoods” “false stories” “false teachers” “false teachings” “false doctrines” “false prophets” “false prophecies” “false religious views” “false religious teachings” “false religious philosophies” “doctrines with pagan religious routes”Is it true that Jehovah's Witnesses reduce Rutherford's false teachings, prophecies as expressed opinions?
I like the separate questions - they are easier to address and give me two points for each one that I answer (even though I don't need the points).

I would think that because the religion continues to grow, the teachings and predictions (see my response to your previous question) there is some explanation, but since I'm not a JW and don't know that much about them, I can't confirm it.

But, I will give you my opinion that many people throughout history have provided their opinions within the scope of their knowledge of the time. It is not much more than a hypothesized theory, which, in other words, can be considered an opinion, especially when later knowledge and new observations counter the theory/opinion.

It happens in science all the time.Is it true that Jehovah's Witnesses reduce Rutherford's false teachings, prophecies as expressed opinions?
what false teachings?

he got rid of the following false ideas/ ways:

- xmas

- easter

- war service

- cross veneration

- racism

- belief that 'earthly israel' was Jehovah's Israel

- everyone goes to heaven.

- earth would be destroyed

he then also put out the following ideas:

- positive ministry

- visiting people at their homes as christ did

- we must be witnesses of the most high god

- we must hallow god's name as christ told us in the paternoster

- that god's name is JEHOVAH

- we must not reflect any name other that that name

- we must therefore, be known as JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.

- killing is wrong

- immorality is wrong

- war is wrong

- hate [of our fellow man] is wrong

what of the above is wrong?

gramps
If they don't they would seem even more deluded than they do. I have nothing but sympathy for the misled souls, but nothing but contempt for their leaders. Christ is not their leader. If He was they would not have even one false teaching to reverse back and forth like the dozens they have on record.
You know what I love, I love that we can always count on certain people *cough cough* to ask absurd questions, get a variety of answers from fellow... oh shall we say ';JW haters'; to answers from sincere people %26amp; JW's themselves; %26amp; then the best part is when these ';certain people'; who ask the ridiculous questions, choose a best answer %26amp; always pick the rudest answer that makes the wildest false accusations about JW's. Yep, gotta love consistency, huh?

Oh Nina, Nina, aren't you getting tired of doing this? I am!!! May I make a suggestion, how about locking yourself in your bedroom, crawling in bed %26amp; stomp your feet %26amp; pound your arms %26amp; scream directly into your pillow until you cry yourself to sleep, instead of coming on Y!A to throw your hissy-fits.
Brother Russell and brother Rutherford were a zealous men in search for the truth. We do not believe brother Russell or Ruthorford to have been prophets, nor any modern day person. They had opinions about many things that indeed ended up not being accurate, no one has ever denied this fact. But we do believe them to have been faithful men that wanted to find truth and share it with others. And they did find so much truth and everything that was found was in the Bible. Over the last 100+ years there has been a lot of ';sifting'; that has taken place. Wrong beliefs, ideas, and practices have been sifted out of Jehovah's people to ensure pure worship of God. Much sifting is still taking place to ensure that those who do not have an honest heart that loves Jehovah will not be in his favor. None of us are perfect people, including brother Russell (whom I think you mean), which is why mistakes are made. But Jehovah ALWAYS reveals those mistakes so they can be corrected.

I'm sure my answer, though heartfelt and factual, will mean nothing to you because you do not seek the truth. You seek to plant seeds of doubt that are rediculous, very unfounded, and extremely tansparent. You claim to know much about Jehovah's Witnesses but in a lot of your questions and answers you reveal your basic lack of understanding. Why are you so preoccupied with Jehovah's Witnesses? If you do not agree with us then that is your choice, but why do you feel the need to continually ask questions when you do not want sincere answers except from those who rally against us? Apostates and others against Jehovah's Witnesses may pick off a few people here and there that would have left eventually anyway. But you will not succeed in disbanding the united brotherhood of Jehovah's people, who are now numbering just over 7 million. We love what we have learned and we believe it to be truth. Not because someone told us it was, but because through research and heartfelt prayer we have gained this knowledge. So just know that whatever ';points'; you think you are making, you are fighting a losing battle. This isn't about religion, it's about God's purpose which he will carry out regardless of how many believe him or not.
Why JWs have more love to people that is why they go to their houses to preach while I have never receivedany Christians in my house who care enough to take of his time to warn me??

Why JWs are preaching that under the rule of Jesus Christ and his heavenly corulers, peace and happiness will prevail in all the earth. (Psalm 37:9-11) Those in God's memory will be resurrected and will enjoy perfect health. (Acts 24:15) By their faithfulness to God, obedient mankind will be granted what our original parents lost—everlasting life in human perfection on a paradise earth.—Revelation 21:3, 4.

Why your church and other are not doing that??
They have to, don't they? The only alternative is to admit guilt of being a false prophet, and they can't very well do that now, can they?! They might lose their cozy little lifestyles of living off of people's donations!
Nina, why are you so hostile against JW's? Calm down, have some ice cream, watch some Jay Leno, breath girl, breath! You're going to give yourself a coronary!
If I were you, I would put all of your questions on one question rather than wasting points on 10 separate questions.
yes!
