Fred Franz former Jehovahs Winesses President exposes False prophecies?

He also says that Joseph Rutherford (former President of the Jehovahs Witnesses) said, with regard to predicting 1925 as the time of Armageddon. ';I made an A** of myself';.

The JWs who replied to my earlier in the week question about this said that they did not believe me.

Here is the link. Do you now believe what Fred Franz said.

Way back in the 1980s I read Raymond Franz's book 'Crisis of Conscience'. It was extremely well documented, so that all his claims could be checked out. I challenge any JWs who think he is an apostate liar to get the book and check all his sources.

If they prefer to check out a non-religious source try 'Time' mag, 22 February 1982 page 66. This article is written by Richard N. Ostling and reported by Anne Constable, Atlanta. Franz received a $10,000 settlement for his and his wife's 40 years devotion to the Watchtower Society. They had foregone having children because they believed Armageddon was so near, back then. He was disfellowshipped for being seen eating a restaurant meal with another JW who had misgivings about Wt.Soc doctrine. But don't take my word for it. JW's are duped. Although they are not alone since all religions dupe their follwers, JW's are a special breed. They're part of the ';You've got to be kidding me!'; breed. Mormons, Evangelicals, Scientologists...actually, all religions are whack!

But, the special thing about JW's is that their indoctrination is extremely firm because they don't allow association beyond their own group. So, they don't get out much and their fantasy is reinforced stronger by their internal asscociation.

Oh, and BTW, they call people like Franz apostate. To JWs, apostates are former JWs who refute JW doctrine. JWs are strongly told to stay away from such demons. They are told that apostates are the work of the devil. CRAZY STUFF!

The mind is a terrible thing to waste. And JWs are very good at it.
Yes, he made an a** of himself alright and the rest of the Witnesses as well.

Yet still they are telling people ';The end is nigh';. Don't go to college you young ones because there is no need to do because the world is about to end.

You would think they would be sick of it by now. I wonder how many of the older people would have thought that Armageddon would have happened before their own deaths.

This should be a stark warning to any young people who have just joined or are thinking of joining. In another 70 years it will be you saying to other young people, its nearly here, honest, just have faith in the Organisation (if it has not collapsed long before then).
JWs are a bunch of arses.
Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of an @ss, so what does that tell you? Jesus used the @ss to make a symbolic statement. All those men who came in His name was the vehicle that rode christianity in. They are silly @sses and think to much of themselves.
I believe you and know all about the chaos of that time period.
Jehovah Witnesses are uniquely stupid, and adept at burying their heads in the sand.
Why are you harping on about something that happened over 80 years ago?

Its 2008 now

Cant you think of a better question than this?

Edit:

What do you mean - MY organization??

If I was thinking of joining the JW's I certainly wouldn't take any notice of something that was written 83 years ago. I'd see what they believe NOW %26amp; what their ideas %26amp; practices are NOW..... TODAY
Brothers are men and make mistakes.

Brother Franz was informing other brothers that a mistake had been made by Brother Rutherford. The lesson we all learn from this is not to second guess the scriptures. We can only be 100% sure of dates in retrospect. Remember the disciples had Jesus in their midst and still made mistakes, does this make their gospels incorrect? Of course not.

Does this make the bible wrong?
That is a fibracation and the man you talk about died many years ago. When will you people stop trying to put down the witnesses.
Faith is blind and as thorough as your answer is, JWs are not going to agree, if the big yin himself returned today he would get the death penalty again, human barbarism has not changed in this last 2 millenniums!
