Why is it that Jehovah's Witnesses cannot see their past and see all the false prophecies made by Watchtower?

How can you trust an organization that has said many many false prophecies much in the past to be able to change and now be able to say the truth?

What makes them think there lies do not matter ?Why is it that Jehovah's Witnesses cannot see their past and see all the false prophecies made by Watchtower?
This phrase admits to knowledge of lies and is typical double think that the Watchtower gb would be proud of:

';Jehovah's Witnesses are the same. We can see mistakes, sins, shortcomings - but there is no alternative out there that is anyplace NEAR the truth of God's word. ';

How wonderful to have Jesus and not the cognitive dissonance.

Note: Claiming to be the mouthpiece of God Almighty is claiming infallibility. The Jehovah's Witnesses willingly give their lives in service to doctrine that may mutate to a ';new light. They will give their very lives for the teachings that come from the Org. If they do not they are kicked out and shunned.

My questions to the above statement is;

';Will you knowingly follow the WT to the death if you know for a fact they are publishing an error?';

and

';Since you do see the errors and mistakes and you are fully aware of these why do you continue to follow a false teacher?';Why is it that Jehovah's Witnesses cannot see their past and see all the false prophecies made by Watchtower?
Because they are as wrapped up in their religion as everyone else is in their own religions.

All religions have less good interpretations, or have been used as excuses for terrible things in the past. Everyone puts their own spin on their own religion. There are as many religions as there are people. Everyone really, really believes their own is right!
Jehovah’s Witnesses, in their eagerness for Jesus’ second coming, have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect. Never in these instances did they presume to originate predictions in the name of Jehovah. Never did they say, ‘These are the words of Jehovah.’ The Watchtower, the official journal of Jehovah’s Witnesses, has said: “We have not the gift of prophecy.” (January 1883, page 425) “Nor would we have our writings reverenced or regarded as infallible.” (December 15, 1896, page 306) The Watchtower has also said that the fact that some have Jehovah’s spirit “does not mean those now serving as Jehovah’s witnesses are inspired. It does not mean that the writings in this magazine The Watchtower are inspired and infallible and without mistakes.” (May 15, 1947, page 157) “The Watchtower does not claim to be inspired in its utterances, nor is it dogmatic.” (August 15, 1950, page 263) “The brothers preparing these publications are not infallible. Their writings are not inspired as are those of Paul and the other Bible writers. (2 Tim. 3:16) And so, at times, it has been necessary, as understanding became clearer, to correct views. (Prov. 4:18)”—February 15, 1981, page 19.

Jw's have published books detailing there history, and have never tried to hide it. They have acknowledged theses so called false prophecy, and have corrected beliefs. Other religions brush there past under the rug.
Ask any 100 Americans which government they prefer living under and I would think at least 90 percent, perhaps 98 or 99 percent would say they wish to continue to live under this government, with sins, mistakes, and all.

Because they feel they can see there is no better alternative.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the same. We can see mistakes, sins, shortcomings - but there is no alternative out there that is anyplace NEAR the truth of God's word.

So as Peter said, ';Who would we go away to for everlasting life?';

EDIT: The question was ';cannot see their past'; - so the comment concerning mistakes, etc was concerning the past. Can I see mistakes in the Catholic, Baptist, Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Mormon, Unitarian, Church of Christ, Church of God, Pentecostal, Islamic, Jewish, Lutheran, Orthodox, Amish, Mennonite, Quaker, Nazarene, Seventh Day Adventist, Anglican, Bahai, and every other religion out there? Yes, and that was my point.

They all have mistakes, down to this very day.

';What makes them think their lies do not matter?';
Very simple,

YOU research and see that Jehovah's organization keeps up with what the bible teaches.... that is, in the last days the LIGHT WILL GET BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER.(Prov. 4:18, Isa 60:2) We adjust our thinking on matters, its not rocket science it's being careful and conscientious.

Since humans are imperfect, its quite possible to make mistakes. Over the years our understanding on matters have come clearer so adjustments have to be made.

Honest hearted people have no problem with this, in fact, its exciting to see prophecy fulfulled.

Why does it bother others so much? 2 Cor 4:4 says among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
Despite the claims of anti-Witnesses, the fact remains that Jehovah's Witnesses have never claimed the ability to divine the future as literal prophets.

Even if they had, however, the Bible quite plainly teaches that even a prophet of God may make a mistake. Four examples easily come to mind...

First Kings chapter 13 describes two prophets who each made a different mistake. One prophet presumptuously assumed that God wanted him to provide the other with hospitality, while the other foolishly ignored the specifics of his instruction. While they both had to deal with the repercussions of their mistakes, the Bible does not say that Jehovah actually punished either of them.

Also, the prophet Nathan mistakenly told David that Jehovah would bless David's decision to replace the temporary tabernacle with a permanent temple. Eventually, Jehovah corrected that mistake.

.. ..(1 Chron 17:1-4) David proceeded to say to Nathan the prophet: “Here I am dwelling in a house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is under tent cloths.” 2 Upon that Nathan said to David: “Everything that is in your heart do, for the true God is with you.” 3 And it came about on that night that the word of God came to Nathan, saying: 4 “Go, and you must say to David my servant, ‘This is what Jehovah has said: “It will not be you that will build me the house

Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as ';predictions'; or ';prophesying';.

Interestingly, however, even those Christians who did enjoy direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated ';out among the brothers';!

For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.

(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”

Jehovah's Witnesses apply the term ';prophet'; only in a very limited sense to themselves as a religion, not to individuals. The Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangement for a 'prophet's work' as a warning. Their self-description as a ';prophet'; (in this limited sense) does not indicate special inspired knowledge or foreknowledge, but their willingness to perform Christ's assigned warning work in our day leading up to Armageddon.

What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?

.. ..(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.

.. ..(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...

.. ..(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
What about the Catholic church? What about Mormons? The same can be said of pretty much ALL religions because all religions have their ';dark history'; so to say, but JW's actually admit it rather than trying to hide it.
