What is the difference between how false prophets recieve their prophecies and the authors of the bible.?

Both claim to be inspired by devine intervention.What is the difference between how false prophets recieve their prophecies and the authors of the bible.?
Close to the truth you are.....

http://www.exposingchristianity.comWhat is the difference between how false prophets recieve their prophecies and the authors of the bible.?
The authors of the Holy Bible were guided by the Holy Spirit. That's why you see the author page of the Holy Bible saying inspired by God.

False Prophets made thing up claiming a higher being told them something. For example, God told the true Prophets that Israel was to be exiled and destroyed. The citizens living in Israel refused to believe such a thing. Then the false prophets came along telling people that everything was going to be ok and no destruction. But in the end Israel was exiled and destroyed.

So now today we can distinguish false prophets from the real prophets in the Holy Bible.
The difference is in where the prophesies come from. If they come from God, they will happen, therefore propecy is testable. If they come from satan, they will not happen.

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him';

(Deuteronomy 18:22).
the Spirit!

1Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Maybe you should do a little research on the authors of the bible before you make claims like this. You have made it very clear from your statement that you are lazy about history and have swallowed false information hook, line and sinker.
False Prophet;

one who falsely pretends to be inspired of the true God, or, one who pretends to be inspired of a false god [ Deut.18:20 ]. Christ warns against false prophets [Matt.24:11,24; Mark 13:22 ].
we each has brains,

true prophet is IN-LINE with all good prophets

Think about it.
There is a vast difference, study the Holy Bible, now, listen to them talk.
