Do you know that Jehovah Witnesses have made false prophecies over and over again?

From their prophecy that Christ made His second coming ';invisibly'; in 1874, to the world ending in the Battle of Armageddon in 1914, 1918, 1921 1925, 1941, 1975(every time the world doesn't end, they move the date up)to the return in 1925 of all the holy ones mentioned in Hebrews chapter 11?

With these and 100's of other false prophecies they've made over the years, why are they surprised when we don't pick up a Watch Tower magazine, and follow them?Do you know that Jehovah Witnesses have made false prophecies over and over again?
Yes, I've heard about the many predicitions of Christ's return that failed. Russell, who founded the JW's, had been a Seventh-Day Adventist. JW's are categorized as an Adventist church because they were founded in the expectation of the very soon return of Jesus Christ. Russell carried some of their doctrines with him, like ';soul sleep.';

SDA's teach that in 1844 Jesus began the ';investigative judgment'; in which he is doing the paper work, so to speak, on everyone's sins. Once that is completed he will return. JW's have their own adventist take on end time prophecy.Do you know that Jehovah Witnesses have made false prophecies over and over again?
This is just a comment or clarification on a comment -

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in ';soul sleep';, whatever that is.

And again - the Gentile times did end. Please search today for another question that has answers for how the date of 1914 came into being. It is from the Bible, and Jehovah's Witnesses were not the first to figure out the Bible chronology. It was figured out in the early 1800's.

1914 was a start of a ';time of trouble'; and Christ did begin his heavenly rulership in 1914.
They are so lame sometimes

like fair enough they believe in what they believe

i just don't like it when they babble on about crap i don't get and don't care out and when they wake me up when they come to my door

annoying!

I think they just make up stuff to get people to join
Here's my email in answer to Lion Beyond's challenge:

I accept your challenege.

Now are you serious? Do you really want me to show you these false prophesies? IF SO THEN LET'S TALK live. Here's my number: 5xx-xx-xxxx. You can email me at inlakesh073@yahoo.com. I will gladly show you from your own literature that your organization has made 100 or more false prophesies.

We'll take it one at a time. We'll use your Bible and ONLY WATCHTOWER PUBLICATIONS.

I make this offer to any and all Jehovah's Witnesses.

Time to put your money where your mouth is JWs! C'mon, are you the true religion or aren't you? Are you false prophets or aren't you? Let's settle this once and for all.

You're not afraid are you?

In La Kesh

Hey everybody, here's Lion Beyond's answer to ym email:

';prove me with the bible and only the bible that this planet won麓t be ruled by Jesus Christ after Armageddon...that won麓t be a resurrection of the people that had died..and that this planet won麓t be transformed in a paradise ...also that people won麓t be healed of all their sickness.....

If you can`t do that ...you are a loosing your time';

So as a coward might be expected to do, he deflects and runs away, quickly changing the subject, deletng his answer and forgetting all about his challenge of just a moment ago.

I dare any JW to live up to the challenge that one of your own people, Lion Beyond made and who cowardly retracted the moment I took him up on it. Just email me and read my proofs of false prophecies in your own literature. That's all I am asking. Just read the Watchtower.

It's amazing what big mouths they have until you corner them and try to have a real honest dialog with them.
Can't the same be said of most any other religious group, particularly christian groups?
If I were President, I'd ban this outrageous religion.
I am painfully aware.
Yes. Maybe they'll get it right sometime, but until then, I'll live as if there will always be a tomorrow.
Individual and small groups of JWs have claimed such. The group as a whole has not.

Debbie
Yeah, i did know.
And your point is...?
you ought to actually talk to a jw about their beliefs because that is not what they beleive
