Can Jehovah's Witnesses give another modern example of a group making a false prophecy according to the bible?

...as defined by Deut. 18:20-22?

10 Speak in the name of Jehovah (according to contect, that thing should be about a future happening)

2) And that thing not coming true.

We all know bout the dozens of jW false prophesies, let's see wht the JWs come up with. Can Jehovah's Witnesses give another modern example of a group making a false prophecy according to the bible?
The WTBTS or JWs have never prophesied anything in the way of stating something will happen that no one else had ever though of.

The so called prophecies of JWs are NOT prophecies but interpretation of prophecies written long ago.

Nostradamus was a prophet. Many think he foretold the death of President Kennedy as well as other things. Some have tried to explain his prophecies for future events. Those that have done so are not called false prophets when the events did not happen as they were trying to interpret what Nostradamus had said.

JWs are keen Bible students who are sounding the call for people to tern to Jehovah God because God has said he is bringing an end to the way this world operates and if we want to survive that we must do what God wants.

They are not prophesy of doom but a people wanting all to be saved because the Bible prophecies pint to our time. Can Jehovah's Witnesses give another modern example of a group making a false prophecy according to the bible?
Sure they could. For example, this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_C._Wh… taught that the Bible predicted that the rapture would occur in 1988. As far as I can tell, there was no rapture in 1988.

Of course, this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Fran… predicted in 1920 that ';Millions Now Living Will Never Die.'; From his book of the same title, he stated on page 97: ';Based upon the promises set forth in the divine Word, we must reach the positive and indisputable conclusion that millions now living will never die.'; See http://books.google.com/books?id=V0gMAAA…

As far as I can tell, those ';millions now living'; in 1920 have died.
Typically, no.. ..

Jehovah's Witnesses are students of the Bible, rather than students of religion (or of another religious ';group';).

A typical Witness learns enough about others' beliefs to intelligently share the ';good news'; with them. Jehovah's Witnesses are uninterested in trolling for criticisms with which to attack others.

Incidentally, Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as ';predictions'; or ';prophesying';.

Interestingly, however, even those Christians who did enjoy direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated ';out among the brothers';!

For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.

(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”

Jehovah's Witnesses apply the term ';prophet'; only in a very limited sense to themselves as a religion, not to individuals. The Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangement for a 'prophet's work' as a warning. Their self-description as a ';prophet'; (in this limited sense) does not indicate special inspired knowledge or foreknowledge, but their willingness to perform Christ's assigned warning work in our day leading up to Armageddon.

What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?

.. ..(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.

.. ..(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...

.. ..(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
For my answer:

I'd like to say DITTO, to ';achtung';

O.k. by your level, you're new here.

No, disrespect; but, this is getting old.

If I mistook, the character of your question, my apologies.

But, I don't believe so....

Just because you don't understand something,

doesn't mean you should be so sarcastic, and mean spirited.

You aren't looking for a satisfying answer from God's word the Bible.

You are making an attempt to ';trump'; the Witnesses of Jehovah.

See ';profile';, click questions asked....o.k.

And, most of us, {users of Y/A's} even those that don't like us,

know we are quite knowledgeable on Scriptural answers.

They don't agree with us, that's o.k.

and some think we're brain-washed, mislead,

some think all Christians are brain-washed and mislead...

you know?
Yes, but you are mistaken. Jehovah's Witnesses will tell you they ';aren't prophets';. Therefore, the fact that their prophecies didn't come true shouldn't count.
The witnesses never calmed to be giving a prophecy they where using what was all ready stated in the bible to back up there conclusion they just misinterpreted but they where not prophesying.
Never have I run across dumber, more delusional, more manipulative people than Jehovah's Witnesses.

It would be awful to be the child of one of these pin heads!!
